Thankful Tiger

Thankful Tiger is an opportunity for LSU Student-Athletes and Staff to collect different drive items and make carepackages so that items like food, school supplies, and hygiene products, and clothes can safely be distributed to several Baton Rouge non-profits.

Civic Engagement Day

The NCAA legislation requires student-athletes be provided a day off each year to allow student-athletes an opportunity to participate in Civic Engagement activities. This event traditionally falls at the beginning of November. Tiger Life provides numerous opportunities at the end of October and throughout the month of November for student-athletes at LSU to engage in Civic Engagement activities.

Halloween BOOzar

The Halloween BOOzar is an annual free event hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee that provides a safe and fun environment for children of all ages to dress up in Halloween costumes. This event encourages children and their families to enjoy trick-or-treat activities and carnival games, while interacting with LSU student-athletes.

Geaux Day

Led by the LSU and Southern University Athletics Staff members and Student-Athletes, Geaux Day is a field day in Baton Rouge where kids can play different sports on LSU’s campus such as gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, track & field, soccer and bowling. This event also gives an opportunity to learn about the history of women’s sports at both universities.

Service Socials

Service Socials are opportunities to involve our student-athletes in community service opportunities on campus. This includes making goodie bags for different communities, making specialized cards for the elderly, and even visiting communities in person.
